Social Worker Support Group Privacy Notice + Community Terms

The Social Worker Support Group is a WhatsApp community connected to Social Work Study Room, a brand of Meghan Vernice LLC.

These Privacy Notice + Community Terms explain how we collect and use information submitted through the group application form, what members should understand before joining the WhatsApp group, and the rules for participating in the community.

By submitting the application form and joining the group, you agree to these terms.

1. About the Group

The Social Worker Support Group is a peer support and professional connection space for current and future social workers.

The group may include members who are:

MSW students

MSW graduates

social workers studying for licensure exams

LMSWs or licensed master social workers

social workers pursuing clinical licensure

social workers studying for clinical licensure exams

licensed clinical social workers

social work educators, supervisors, or professionals in related roles

The group is designed to support exam prep, study accountability, licensure planning, job and career conversations, professional development, resource sharing, networking, and encouragement.

2. This Group Does Not Provide Professional Services

The Social Worker Support Group is for peer support, education, and community connection only.

The group does not provide:

legal advice

clinical supervision

therapy

crisis support

official licensing board guidance

official ASWB exam guidance

diagnosis or treatment recommendations

individualized legal, clinical, or financial advice

Information shared in the group should not replace guidance from your supervisor, licensing board, attorney, therapist, employer, medical provider, or other appropriate professional.

Licensing requirements vary by state and jurisdiction and may change over time. Always verify requirements directly with your licensing board or other official source.

3. No Emergency Support

This group is not monitored for emergencies.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call emergency services or contact a crisis line in your area.

Do not use the group for urgent crisis support, emergency mental health needs, mandated reporting emergencies, or situations requiring immediate professional intervention.

6. WhatsApp Privacy Notice

The Social Worker Support Group is hosted on WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta. Before joining, please understand that other WhatsApp group members may be able to see:

your WhatsApp profile name

your WhatsApp profile photo, depending on your privacy settings

messages you post in the group

reactions or replies you share in the group

any information you voluntarily share

Do not join or participate in the group if you are not comfortable with other members seeing your WhatsApp profile information and messages shared in the group.

You are responsible for managing your own WhatsApp privacy settings.

9. Community Rules / Code of Conduct

By joining the Social Worker Support Group, you agree to follow these rules.

1. Be respectful.

Treat members with professionalism, kindness, and respect. No harassment, bullying, discrimination, shaming, or personal attacks.

2. Protect confidentiality.

Do not share client-identifying information, protected health information, private workplace information, screenshots from other spaces, or anything that violates privacy, ethics, or professional standards.

Do not post client names, dates of birth, addresses, case details, employer-identifying details, or any information that could reasonably identify a client, student, patient, family, coworker, agency, or workplace situation.

3. Respect copyright.

Do not upload, share, or distribute pirated study materials, paid resources, copyrighted practice questions, answer keys, PDFs, course materials, screenshots from paid courses, or any content you do not have permission to share.

You may share links to resources, your own notes, general study tips, publicly available information, and original materials you have permission to share.

4. Keep posts relevant.

Posts should relate to social work exams, licensure, supervision, CEUs, jobs, professional development, burnout prevention, social work practice, social work education, or community support.

5. Support each other without replacing supervision.

Members may share encouragement, study tips, general resources, and peer support. Members should not use the group to provide or request clinical supervision, legal advice, therapy, diagnosis, or official licensing guidance.

6. No spam or unsolicited promotion.

Do not repeatedly promote services, products, events, or links without permission. Helpful resource sharing is welcome. Spam is not.

7. Be mindful of costs.

Many social workers are navigating exam fees, licensure fees, supervision costs, CEUs, and professional development expenses. Share free and low-cost resources when possible.

8. No screenshots outside the group.

Do not screenshot, copy, forward, or share group conversations outside the community without permission.

9. Participate in good faith.

Ask questions, share wins, offer support, and contribute when you can. You do not have to know everything to belong here.

10. Admins may remove members.

Members who violate the rules, disrupt the space, share copyrighted materials illegally, make the group unsafe, or use the group in a way that conflicts with its purpose may be removed.

11. Affiliate Disclosure

Some links shared by Social Work Study Room or Meghan Vernice LLC may be affiliate or referral links. This means we may receive a commission, referral credit, or other benefit if you choose to purchase through those links, at no additional cost to you.

We aim to share resources that may be helpful for social workers preparing for exams, licensure, professional development, or career growth. You are responsible for deciding whether any resource is right for you.

12. Intellectual Property

Content created by Social Work Study Room, Meghan Vernice LLC, ADHD at Work, or Meghan Brown-Enyia may not be copied, reproduced, sold, redistributed, uploaded, modified for resale, or claimed as your own without written permission.

This includes guides, trackers, templates, worksheets, posts, captions, study materials, resource lists, and other original materials.

13. Group Moderation + Admin Rights

We reserve the right to:

approve or deny applications

remove members from the group

remove posts or messages when needed

update group rules

restructure, pause, archive, or close the group

limit promotional content

respond to safety, confidentiality, copyright, or conduct concerns

We may remove a member without prior notice if we believe their participation creates risk, violates these terms, or disrupts the purpose of the group.

14. Data Retention

We may retain application information, contact information, consent preferences, communication history, purchase history, and related records for business, administrative, legal, and communication purposes.

You may request to be removed from the group or email list at any time.

15. How to Leave or Opt Out

You can leave the WhatsApp group at any time using WhatsApp’s group exit feature.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link included in emails.

You can opt out of text messages by replying STOP.

You may also contact us to request removal from the group, email list, or communication list.

16. Changes to These Terms
